Student Life

At HHS, we believe programming for children should be holistic so as to include lessons, while also allowing time for student events. The school day runs from 8 am to 2.30 pm for Pre-School and 7.30 am to 3.00 pm for Basic School. Notable events include:

  • • A weekly assembly.
  • Schoolwide devotions once a week
  • Annual KG 2 and Primary 6 Graduations ceremonies
  • Sports week once a year
  • A Careers Day held every other year
  • Sports week once a year
  • Educational excursions each term
  • Weekly club activities
    • After School Care

    We recognize that parents are occasionally faced with heavy work schedules or unforeseen circumstances that prevent them collecting their ward(s) on time. Parents can arrange extended supervision of their children with the school’s administration. This arrangement will incur a late pick-up charge.

    After School Programs

    There are a number of after school extra-curricular activities that your child can choose from. These include clubs for Music, Robotics, French, Chinese which they can enrol in, and others such as the Gospel Crusaders, Happy Heart FC, Reading Club that are open to all.

    Vacation Programs

    During vacations, we support our pupils in taking advantage of opportunities to undergo other relevant training or gain meaningful and appropriate experience that may not be possible during the school term and whose focus is non-academic in nature.

    Ways to Give
  • The HHS Fund – Annual Giving
    A general pool that supports us in recruiting and maintaining the services of dedicated professional teachers and care staff.
  • ICT equipment and training
    This support is used to acquire, maintain and update ICT equipment and software in the ICT lab.
  • The CEO’s Student Awards Support
    C-SAS helps to sponsor the recognition and encouragement of high academic performance of pupils by underwriting the cost of prizes for our Speech Day and prize giving events.
  • Gifts-in-Kind
    You may decide to provide non-cash support, e.g., stocking the library, purchasing playground equipment, and/or undertaking other developmental projects as may be deemed necessary.
  • Sponsor-a-Child Scheme
    Individual or corporate sponsors bear the full cost of tuition, textbooks and school supplies for a particular needy child for all or part of a training block/level, namely: Creche 1 year, Nursery 2 years, KG 2 years, Primary 6 years and JHS 3 years. A sponsor can choose to assume responsibility for some or all levels from Creche through JHS. The school will issue regular academic and financial reports of the child to his/her sponsor.
